Road TAX BAND for e90 55 plate 330d?

Hi People... new 330d owner!! Want to say Hi

Quick question what does everyone pay in ROAD TAX Band? (UK owners)

My car is 2005 55 plate 330d m sport auto (e90), and on the log book emissions are 196 g/km which I as higher tax code than I expected. Cars on autotrader of this age are showing 176 g/km and lower tax code.

Has my car been incorrectly coded?

thanks

On Parkers it is showing 174 g/km which is £200 a year.

But is that for a manual? I guess the auto is more, but surely not as high as £260? That makes it over 186 g/km.

Edit, yeah just seen the auto on Parkers and its 197 g/km. Thats a hell of a jump higher than the manual.....

The older engines were a lot higher on emissions than the LCI 330d's and Auto hikes it up too. The disc on my 09 Auto is £170 but I guess that will be more next time....

Edit- £175 now after the budget.

Also bear in mind that a 2005 55 plate car will not be taxed on emissions. That doesn't apply until cars registered after March 23rd 2006....

ROAD TAX band would be 0 as it doesn't exist anymore. Vehicle Excise Duty on the other hand...

...for emissions of 196g/Km CO2 would put you in Band J which appears to be £260 for 12 months or £143 for 6

All cars registered on or after 1st March 2001 are taxed based on emissions. 23rd March 2006 was the introduction of the higher rate bands (Band L and Band M) for vehicles registered on or after this date with emissions over 225g/Km

Call it what you like, we still got to pay it!

I stand corrected on the March 06 date
