Question How is the install on the M aero rear bumper?

I'm looking to get this for my 335 coupe (along with the Mtech front bumper and m sport rockers). Any idea on how the install is? Does it replace the whole rear bumper or just cover the lower part? DIY or have the dealer do it? I guess it will be there for them to put the front bumper on anyway.

It replaces the whole bumper and is an easy install. Helps if there is 2 people though.

There aren't any problems on the fitment around the wheels like with the M3 rocker panels is there? I'd imagine not, but I just don't want to be surprised after I get the thing. I haven't really seen this on many people's cars.

Is that a real see through type mesh or something else? Is it black?

Yes, it is OEM, so fitment will be perfect, also mesh is not see through and is black
here is a pic of it on a black 335i
and on montego blue.

Cool. So how do you like it on your car now that you have it? I think it makes the rear look a little more sporty. What did you do with your old bumper?

Reason I asked about fit is that the OEM M3 rocker panels are about 1/4" too long and wide due to the flared fenders on the M3, so it won't fit perfectly without some body shop work. Its a pity, as I love them. I'll just have to go with the M-sport rockers.

I like it better than the M-tech rear myself. Im keeping the rear, so I can switch it back as it is a lease. I still havent installed mine since I need to drill out the PDC holes.
Mine looks like this as I had Long fill the side vents to make it look more like the M3 rear.

Interesting idea filling in the sides. That might be more than I'm in for though as all of these bumpers along with the painting and install aren't going to be very cheap. If that M-sport package had only come out a little sooner I'd have been all set.

Yes, I will get the M package next time as well. Ran about 1250 painted and shipped.

Yea, shipping tacks on quite a bit with these things. That's why I'm hoping my dealer will come close to matching Tischer's price. They are going to get back to me on Monday.

Good luck on pricing and post some pics when you get it installed, I will do the same.

I currently have the exact set up as the Black 335i above... One idea I've been really wanting to do is remove the plastic "mesh" and replace it with real black aluminium mesh.

Has anyone done this before? Do the plastic inserts come out easily?

Zuerest -> "Mine looks like this as I had Long fill the side vents to make it look more like the M3 rear." Was this your local body shot that was able to fill the side vents in? Do you know how they did it?

My dealer said they couldn't come close on price. Although I've had fine dealing with them before, this time around with Tischer was as big of a mess as I've ever had. Its all ok in the end though and bumpers are on the car

Here's the front and side shot.

And a sig file

ive got the full aero kit on mine, the rear bumper is more shapely and sporty than the m, fitting is about an hour taking your time but an extra pair of hands ensures it doesnt get scratched when fitting, there are several threads on here for fitting
