FS: 2011 BMW 335i 6 Speed Manual

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
2011 bmw 335i (Car is located in the south suburbs in Chicago)

Price adjusted, asking $18k OBO.

VIN: WBAKG7C5XBE262714
title status: rebuilt (PLEASE SCROLL DOWN A FEW REPLIES FOR PICTURES OF ACCIDENT)

Up for sale is my 2011 BMW 335i E92! I’ve owned it for 3 years and have only put 10k miles on it. I usually only take it out on weekends to cruise, it is definitely a garage queen. It is currently wrapped in 3M Atomic Teal, roof is wrapped in carbon. It’s pretty much a brand new wrap I did in March this year. True color of the car is a dark blue. Before I go on with the mod list, it is a rebuilt title. The incident was very minor from the previous owner, pictures added below. It was a tap on the front bumper and hood, no structural damage whatsoever. It was repainted at a quality shop and the color match is on point. Car has been nothing but good to me regardless so from enthusiast to enthusiast, it’s a solid car.

-57,xxx miles
-6spd manual
-M Sport rear bumper (unpainted under wrap)
-M Sport front bumper (see pics)
-M3 style side skirts (unpainted under wrap)
-RW Carbon front lip
-quad tip genuine carbon diffuser
-@KGSplitters side skirt and rear bumper extensions
-genuine carbon M3 style mirror caps @Mashimarho
-smoked out turn signal side markers @Mashimarho
-fog light delete done and replaced area with IS model trims from FCP Euro. fog light plugs/cables are still on if you’d like to put new ones in
-M3 style kidney grilles

Windows are tinted with ceramic, 35% all around with 50% on the windshield.

Suspension:
Broadway Static 500s Super Low coilovers running 16k front/26.5k rear. Anyone who knows about these coils knows they are a premium and are the best in the game. Right now at the height the car sits at is perfect to get around mostly anywhere. Goes over bumpy train tracks, speed bumps (a bit sideways depending on how big) and into driveways without destroying the front lip. The car can literally be touching the ground if i want it to with these coils. Doesnt rub either. Also there are 15mm Future Classic spacers installed all around with extended lug nuts.

Wheels were powder coated in a color close to “Mag Blue” last year. They are OEM style 342’s.

Brand new R1 Concepts rotors and pads installed not even 1k miles ago. Calipers were resprayed white. The first time I sprayed them the calipers were completely removed, cleaned and properly done. At the same time I completed a full brake fluid flush with genuine DOT4 ATE brake fluid. That was about a year ago.

Engine:
It’s pretty much FBO other than a FMIC. Never got around to getting it. I have it running on a stage 2 MHD tune.
-VRSF catless downpipe
-VRSF chargepipe
-aFe intake
-BMS cowl filter mod
-muffler delete with custom quad tips
-painted engine cover

Interior:
-brand new black on black diamond floor mats
-M Sport steering wheel
-ZHP shift knob
-genuine Alcantara shift boot in M tri stitching
-genuine Alcantara e brake boot in M tri stitching
-genuine Alcantara arm rest in M tri stitching
-genuine carbon & alcantara e brake handle
-trim pieces wrapped in carbon (brown wood underneath)

Original battery finally went out on me this summer. Brand new battery installed about 3-4 months ago. Rear tires are also brand new replaced 1k miles ago. Last oil change was done at 52k. Legit only thing is if you live in Illinois, car won’t pass emissions with the catless downpipe. I have the OEM downpipe to give you all you would need to do is install it.

Theres literally nothing wrong with this car. Even though it is modified, there are no weird noises, no weird sounds coming from the engine or anything. Transmission shifts smooth, clutch feels fine, car runs and pulls strong. All interior things like heated seats, heat, A/C, AUX, radio, etc all buttons work. All the work done is preventative maintenance because I need peace of mind. All parts put in are high quality parts, done the right way. There were no corners cut with this build. It’s probably one of the last clean examples left of a manual 2011 E92 with low miles.

I will also give you everything I still have for this thing which includes:

-OEM rear bumper
-OEM side skirts
-OEM downpipe
-extra pair of genuine carbon side skirt extensions, one is just scraped a little
-LED reverse light bulbs
-OEM cowl filter
-brand new NGK premium laser iridium spark plugs (never got around to do them)

That's a clean looking car! Love the wrap color.

Any additional details on the rebuilt title would help. A tap to a fender won't likely declare the car as enough damage to modify the clean title status.

In any case, I'd be interested if there are detailed pics around that. What does the carfax say?

Appreciate that! I will get as much information as I can by tonight and post back here. It honestly was a tap compared to what some would call a crash. The fender, headlight, bumper, and hood were all replaced. Fender took most of the damage but the other pieces were completely replaced because of light damage. Core support and coolers are original. I’ll be trying to gain access to my iCloud for picture and message backup to see if I can find the pictures. Honestly can’t remember what the carfax says but i’ll try to get that as well.

if this helps you: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...17&postcount=7

this is in relation to a M2 that was listed FS. it might give you insight into what a Totalled car is and thus a Rebuilt title means the car has been approved by a DMV to be redeployed to public roads AFTER being totalled.

you can see the heavy orange-peel on the repaint here. and look at the car's fender lines and bumper to hood alignment. https://www.e90post.com/forums/attac...1&d=1632891861

i don't know this posters car and wouldn't pass judgement. buyer be aware.

The picture you attached is the driver side. As I stated in the post, it was the passenger side that got hit. Also, you’re talking about orange peel when the car is wrapped. The orange peel is on the wrap. And this side of the car was never resprayed because once again the passenger side got hit. I understand you’re trying to help buyers but read the whole post. I hope I can get these pictures.

Ok for anyone interested in the car I finally have photos from the accident. As you can see, it was literally a tap compared to what some might call a crash. There was no structural damage, only the hood, fender, headlight, and front bumper cover were replaced and professionally resprayed. Core support and coolers were all original. I hope this can bring peace to your mind if you’re genuinely interested.

That's very helpful. I wouldn't consider that a tap to the fender, however.

I've owned a rebuilt 328i 6MT that I just sold for 3K over the price I paid after putting in about 2k on repairs. The dash was lit up like a Christmas tree. It had several misfire codes, wiring issues, rusty vanos, needed valve cover gasket and PCV hose repair, crankshaft sensor, DSC and FRM modules, windshield wiper motor, and some fender liners. Overall, it was in fantastic condition for being rebuilt, but it took a lot to get it operating without codes. It took months.

This car is leagues better in condition for a rebuilt title, but I don't think it's worth 23k.

I could pick up a higher mileage M3 for 23k in perfect shape with a clean title for that.

I understand all of the mods you put in, but an N55 is less desirable to the 335 world than the N54 and I have a 335 with an N54 with 90k miles that I picked up for 9K locally.

At best, with the low miles you could command a $15k asking price with the rebuilt status. What do you think?

I was definitely wrong about the tap the fender, that’s just what I thought I remembered when I saw the pictures 3 years ago. That’s on me.

You definitely can pick up an M3 for $23k with 120k miles and no RB’s or TA’s done. That all depends on what you like or what you’re willing to risk.

The N55 also might be less desirable but there are people who still like it and want it, that doesn’t make my car worth less realistically? The only thing in this case that can make my car worth less is the title status. Some people want to build an n54 and make 700+, some people want a fun daily thats reliable. There’s a car for everyone.

All that being said, there are bone stock examples of my car with these miles going for this price. You’re saying the most you’d pay is $8k less because of a rebuilt title? The $8k comes back in mods lol. Now, I honestly wasn’t expecting to get the full asking price, I know I can’t just expect every penny back for the mods and that’s why I posted it for OBO. But $15k? Let’s be serious.

Well yeah, I think the title status definitely affects the value of the vehicle because there is history the buyer is unaware of. It took me months to get $8k for a car I originally listed for $12k because of title status.

The 328i had 66k original miles on an N52 (most reliable engine arguably for the e9x platform) and I wasn't getting any bites at asking prices similar to clean title examples with higher mileage.

I'm seeing people with rebuilt M3s going for between $15-$20k and those are closer to $25-30k in "fair" value.

It's unfair, but reality because there's non-obvious issues that can spring up later. I suggest you keep the car for life, honestly.

Either way, I couldn't justify $23k for this for myself when that can afford me two clean title 335s with ~90k miles.

I have a 2011 335 xdrive 6 speed m sport performance power kit from the factory with 66k. Mostly stock. Clean title and loaded. If I can get 23k for it I'd unload it instantly. But let's be real. Retail its worth 14k at best.
