30FF code- Turbocharger Vacuum Reservoirs?

My 08 135i is stock except for a JB4 chip and has about 140k miles on it. I have been getting a 30FF code off and on for the last year. I replaced all the vacuum hoses and both boost solenoids. I still get the code and it's worse in the heat of summer. Almost every time I aggressively accelerate, it lights up the CEL light and throws 30FF codes. It's happening daily now. I'm wondering/hoping the stock vacuum reservoirs might be the problem, since they are a pretty easy fix.

I see them online for about $40 each (plus shipping) and I also see a couple aftermarket brands in aluminum for about $180.00 for both.

Any idea if these might be the culprit? If so, any input on aftermarket aluminum ones vs the stock plastic ones?

Thanks!

Nipples can break off the oem plastic ones but other than that its not worth the upgrade unless for looks. You can see if your current ones hold pressure yourself.

Thanks for the input. The only codes i get are 30FF and 2ef7 (for a thermostat issue). I'll pull the stock ones and see if I can figure an easy way to do a pressure check with a Mighty vac or a bike pump.
