Thanks Mark! Im not very familiar with carbon fiber weaves and patterns so I'll try to get some close up pics. To me the overall product is fantastic and if some cf freak comes up to me and comments on inconsistencies Im going to laugh and tell them to STFU

I just installed my JC Sportsline diffuser.
Quality: Quality is pretty good. There are places you can see light through the weave if you hold it up to the light (which you will never see when installed), there are places where the weave is a bit off, but nothing major. Weave is all going the same direction, mesh pieces are all mounted in the same direction. Damage: The good and bad(but not very bad at all): The good is that it installed without having to modify a single tab. The not that bad... it can with a crack (see pic). It looks like it took a tiny impact on the top and cracked the clear coat, no weave damage. Completely repairable by a bodyshop, however my dad had all the materials for repair and it looks great. (Reinforced the back, V'ed out the crack, applied more resin and sanded it down). JC knows its cost prohibitive to return an item so they refunded $120 for repair...thumbs up for great communication and customer service on their part. Uninstall: Nothing fancy here that others havent noted. Pulled the screws, then slide the tabs out. One thing I noticed made it easier with two people...One pushes on the bumper above the diffuser while the other pulls the diffuser out. I found it a lot easier to pull one side of the diffuser off first (rather than straight out). Install: Two people makes this WAY easier. One person on each side. We started on the right. I held up the left side near the exhaust while the other person fit the right side and put in the far right screw. Then he simply one tab at time kind of plying the whole diffuser to the left to line up the tabs and push them in. Then once he got the middle, he held his side in place (to keep his tabs from popping out since its a TIGHT fit), then I continued from the middle to the left plying it left lining up the tabs and pushing them in. Then when all the tabs were lined up and he held it in, I popped in the screws on the left side. Pics: If the pics dont work or if you want higher res: http://www.flickr.com/photos/7963494...7629556968493/ |

I bought one from Louie from ebay same as OP and packaged very poor, no buble wrap no foam no nothing. Mine had small crack too but on the bottom, can't be seen when mount. Wouldn't buy from them again though. It doesn't matter about pricing or communication.

End of the day, you can't expect a $1400 BMW diffuser for $300. |

I was expecting better fitment for $400, if you want a carbon fiber diffuser, go with the one in ebay, don't spend $100 extra for the same piece. Thanks |
