Well said--this is exactly how I feel about JB.

After having a jet black 330 for 3 years, I have to say that the car never looks clean unless you live in a climate like Southern California. As slick101 mentioned earlier, it's well worth the extra effort...unfortunately, I live in a desert and that lasts all of about 4 hours after a wash.

Make my next one black sapphire metallic. Even if it's 1% easier to maintain, sign me up.

I dont like the dusty look to my car sometimes. But when it is really well polished and waxed it looks awesome. Ive seen at sunlight it has a dark grey/nd greenish hue to it.

I have two black vehicles. A JB chevy tahoe, and the BSM 335i.

Nothing is as deep and reflective as JB, but i think BSM has an extra "something" to it that JB doesnt have. JB just seems slightly more boring to me. Im a detailer, and for anybody that knows what this is, i use nattys blue (a particular paste wax), and it makes the metallic flakes shimmer like crazy. Its sick. In direct sunlight the BSM looks like a very very very dark charcoal grey. There are also far fewer metallic black cars on the road...its slightly "different".

i have a mercedes that has black sapphire, and my e92 is jet black, and i must say the depth difference is huge, especially after a full detail/waxing, and under the sun, Jet Black gets my vote!
