Building The Perfect Daily - E91 Build
Back in the beginning of April I picked up a beater E46 sedan as a daily driver for $500 but me being me I could not keep it stock or let it look terrible. So about a two months later and $5000/$6000 later I had what I this was a pretty clean daily. A month and a half after I picked up my E46 a customer of mine picked up a E91 Wagon I had sent him so I was jealous he got a clean wagon I wanted so I joked around trading him straight up for my E46, two days later he agreed and I got myself a almost perfect spec'd E91 Touring!
My E46 Sedan I traded ![]() ![]() June 2nd the day I picked up the E91, Which coincidentally was exactly 2 months after getting my E46 ![]() Some pictures I took the following day, no real mods besides different OEM wheels, H&R Lowering Springs, andApple Carplay ![]() ![]() ![]() Cool thing is this car used to be a canadian car so speedometer is in KM ![]() Last edited by Eighty8M; 08-13-2025 at 04:10 PM.. |

Started ordering parts the week I picked it up, some parts I couldn't find ones I wanted in stock so bought some things for now but slowly they started trickling in.
BC Coilovers were the first to arrive. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A buddy of mine has some TE37SL's laying around so I asked to buy from him, the were a bit beat so had them refinished and powder-coated also threw a front bumper add ons the car came with but was never installed. Using the wagon for what its purposed for ![]() Freshly powder-coated ![]() Rear shaved, wheels mounted, bumper add ons installed ![]() ![]() Last edited by Eighty8M; 08-13-2025 at 04:08 PM.. |

More parts started to come in, eBay front lip, eBay side skirt, eBay diffuser with 3rd brake light, 3D Design Style roof Spoiler, and Exhaust tips to replace the crusty OEM ones
![]() ![]() The exhaust tips were cool, was hard to find replacements that don't require welding and were a direct bolt onto the stock muffler while I decide what route to go with replacing the OEM system. ![]() ![]() ![]() Window tint redone 5% all around and 55% windshield ![]() Finally found a set of OEM E90 M3 Mirror for a decent price, cam with crappy Carbon add ons so ordered new Carbon Replacement covers. ![]() Wheels looked a bit naked and almost like replicas without the TE37SL Stickers but opted to run OG Stickers instead of the single spoke sticker. Thank god for these Templates form Sensei6 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Eighty8M; 08-14-2025 at 09:55 AM.. |

Installed E90 M3 mirrors and my roof spoiler, the mirrors were pretty straight forward but the roof spoiler came me some push back as it didn't fit very well.
![]() ![]() ![]() Took me forever to find a decent silver interior trim that wasn't trashed or overpriced, forgot to mention I purchase a all the products Coby Wheel offers for the E90 platform, I have always used their products in almost every BMW I have had. ![]() After a month I finally found time to install my BC Coilovers, I got it sitting pretty much where I want it, where it its low enough I would like but high enough to clear majority of daily driving obstacles. Old suspension was super rusted and beat ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As of now I am not sure what's next besides replacing all the Aero with carbon parts, I have also been playing with the idea of doing a full M3 Wagon build well at least cosmetically with full front end conversion swap headlights, fenders hood, bumper, rear bumper and widened rear fenders Whatever I do I will try to keep this updated. There were a bunch of small things that I did that I did post like LED Swaps, Lugs, studs, etc. Last edited by Eighty8M; 08-14-2025 at 10:02 AM.. |

Interesting that it it still has the KM unit and is passing California Inspection. Did it have federalization or did owner just reinstall the old unit?
Nice M-sport. |

Car seems to be coded to have mileage read in miles also the digital display has a MPH option so I use that to determine speed. |

ooo I do like a wagon myself, looking nice.
You mind sharing the size and offset of the wheels, and if spacers were used. Any rubbing with the lower stance? |

You'd honestly probably do better building an M3 wagon out of a normal E81 then to heavily mod the body work on an M-sport. The draw very good money stock.

Following.
I had a E46 for many years and a first year e90. Bought a E92 that I modded far too much and then recently another LCI e90. My $800 LCI e90 doesn't have that much into it (Doing a mega "Budget" build) but its a good daily now. I literally just found one of my best friends the PERFECT LCI E91 (Albeit auto) for 5k with only 108k last week. Needless to say, I am looking for a wagon now. I HAVE to get rid of at least 2 cars though first.
