Question Alcantara Wheel

Hey,

I recently purchased an 08 135, and the steering wheel is completely worn. To be completely honest I thought this is what alcantara felt like, until I noticed a very small patch of the actual cloth remaining, and it felt WAY better. : Lol anyways... I was wondering if anyone knows a company or person that can re-wrap my wheel. I contacted Cobywheels.com but unfortunetly he does not have an M wheel in his core inventory.

Thanks for your help!

I've had a couple Alcantara wheels and hope to never go back. Not a fan of how they look and feel after a while. A toothbrush works pretty well to bring the material back to life, but it still wears a lot faster than leather. I have the M3 wheel now and absolutely love it. You can buy a used one around $250. Hard to say what it might cost to reupholster.

did you maintain them monthly? the trick about alcantara is that they need to be wiped with plain water at least once a month to prevent matting and wear. The toothbrush method can work, but still won't be adequate as the only maintenance.
