Sorry guys but Lux is not the "best". I would say OSS are the best.

Lux are a good option for plug and play but definitely not the best. ^ I agree on OSS.
I think people would be surprised there are other options as good or almost as good as the LUX, like HPB new 12watt Cree Angel eyes. http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/ne12wacrledh.html and cheaper.

Yup. Best is also subjective.

Here's how I break down my stance on AE's when they ask for recommendations.

First off, Avoid Weisslicht at all cost. It's rebranded R-Dash marked up at 2-3x the price. Silly.

Now, back on subject, what's your budget?

1. 0-$100
2. $200-$300
4. $300+

If your budget is between $0 and $100, I'd go with these http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/ne12wacrledh.html I have the 10W's in my car, and for the money, they're fantastic! And I hear the 12W's are even better. Note, that these will dim when the headlights come on, but they also fade on-and-off, which is nice. From most angles, it's pretty even!

Truthfully, I haven't seen anything in the $100-200 range that can beat the 12W's shown above.

If your budget is between $200-300, the LUX H8 V3's are the best. They're the best plug-and-play option hands down. Extremely even light distribution, and a great color. They also do not fade when the lights come on thanks to the high end drivers (rather than resistors) LUX uses to regulate the power going to the LEDs.

However, the LUX's aren't perfect. They are not as bright or as even as the E92 LCI's angel eyes. From most driver angles, they will look great. But, there is a "better" solution--if you have the money or the handiwork know-how.

Full-LED rings are the way to go. This requires opening the headlights, and installing rings of LEDs behind the factory corona rings. This gives you unparalleled evenness (the E92 LCI is less evenly lit than these solutions!).

You can send your headlights off to BavX for their own LS3 rings, OSS for their Umnitza-sourced rings, or to ONEighty Customs for their ORB rings (priced from lowest to highest, also from generally-accepted lowest quality to highest quality). Be prepared to pay between $550-800 for the service of shipping your lights to them, having them fit the rings, and the return process.

If you are DIY inclined, and have experience opening headlights, or are up for the challenge, you can order the LS3 rings from BavX, the Orion rings from Umnitza, or the ORB rings from ONEighty and do the install yourself. Personally, I like the color and closeness of the LEDs from the ORB rings (they're extremely close together and a perfect, paper-white color, while the OSS rings have a noticeable amount of blue in them)

I know my writing style can make things difficult to follow, so if there's anything you want clarified/more information on, just let me know!

Best angel eye response ever. I agree with all that is said (although I'm not too familiar with the ORB lights)

I'd love to get some OSS lights but it would be one of the last things I'll do. I like the stock headlight rings. For now..

+1 great response and so true. I love the OSS look, running LUX V3's now and any cheap LED's under 200 I have tried where generally not worth the money.

Very happy with lux.
I'd try them and if you don't like them you can easily resell them.

Excellent write up rollinstone157. Agree 100%. I purchased the LUX E90 LCI Halogens (based on my budget and needs). However if you have the $, LED rings are pretty cool!!

Why is LS3 considered the lowest quality?

I'm going off of what I have seen on a few threads on e90post and what people have said to me for this one...but BavX doesn't seem to reseal headlights as well as OSS. Although I personally like the whiter color of the BavX rings to the bluer color of the OSS/Umnitza rings.

Mine are arriving tomorrow, so I will be posting an extensive review shortly. The teaser pics look great, very bright and very white. But obviously I haven't physically seen them yet.

The LUX eyes are a great product, best plug and play FOR SURE. dont mess around with ANY OTHER.

now if u have 600-700 in coin to throw down shoot them out down south to LUIS AT OSS (where i shipped mine) or ONE EIGHTY CUSTOMS. these 2 shops are the BEST OF THE BEST.
