M3 fenders are only functional when they are wider to accommodate larger rim/tires.
The one thing I can say would be a cool thing for a vendor to produce is a m3 wide front conversion that lets you keep the stock e92 hood, headlight brackets, and radiator support.
I will buy that kit if you can get that made

I don't recall saying anywhere in my post that OEM m3 fenders serve no purpose so I don't know where that spinoff came from in your post. I said most cosmetic upgrades (m3 front rep) we do here on e90post serve no purpose so why not add another one to the list.
A widebody conversion that lets you keep all those parts and just run a wider front bumper or even keep OEM bumper would be something amazing indeed. Running wider WHEELS up front is something I'm definitely looking into for track purposes, but the majority of people are just interested in cosmetics vs actual functionality.
