Order in Cali, pickup in NC?
Hey all,
I'm a newbie here, and just decided to go with the new e90 over the new a4 (i acutally liked the looks of both, but the bmw just drove so much better). hopefully will be ordering soon. anyway, i have a question hopefully someone can answer: I live in california, but go to school in north carolina. unfortunately, i dont have the time this summer to drive the car cross country. i was wondering if it is possible either to a) order the car in california and have it delivered to NC b) order the car in NC (I have a california license, residency, etc.) From what i have heard, in order to do the latter i would need to change my drivers license to NC. However, considering the huge tax break I'd get (NC 3% to CA 8.25) it may be worth it. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton, Wally |

Hey there...i just ordered my car as well. I live in Cali and am moving to NC. The best thing to do....order it there to save money on taxes. 3% instead of 8.25% Have it shipped to Spartanburg, SC and do the perforance driving school. Message me for more details about everything I did. I actually ended up doing European Delivery and I ended up saving around $7500.
