turn on ignition and press volume and channel down to enter JB4 menu. Then press volume up 5 times then press channel up 2 times (if metric - 3 times) then keep pressing volume down until you exit JB4. That should fix it

Does it do a tick tick tick on startup and then settle down there?

So you probably didn't instal the needle back into its correct position or the needle shaft gear is misaligned inside the stepper motor.

Is either the speedo is set up for metric or for M3 or other model in the JB4 settings

Check this out and see if you can set it for your model car

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480565

If not then is probably the needles have moved when the speedo was lifted, turned upside down etc while replacing the glass

Carefully lever off the needles and put them back on in their correct zero position

Cant think of what else it might be

The needle shaft goes into a stepper motor where there are two gear. One gear on the need shaft. One gear on the driver motor. They are held in place and aligned by metal leaf spring that provides tension. If one is the drop the cluster or push the shaft down forcefully during needle reinstatement can get this gears out of alignment, temporarily or permanently. Forget about the JB4 at this time! Get yourself an INPA and use the cluster gauge check where you can move the needle on the gauges individually. That will help more than messing with JB4. Noting wrong with JB4. Don't get me wrong. Terry work with me on the 335i with M3 cluster firmware. They do great work.

PO had the needles misaligned i guess after trying to install bimmian needles. Failed miserably and just slapped it back together removed them put them back in their proper position and they're aligned now, only problem i have is when the speedometer needle is decelerating the needle "skips" for lack of better terms

I will recommend you to just replace the speedometer.

Recently changed my LEDs from orange to white. My gauges are now misaligned and I’m not sure how to fix it. I’ve taken them out and re installed them while they faced 0. Speedometer and oil temp work but rpm doesn’t move and gas gauge is way past the zero.
